Two thousand electric motorcars will run in Kolkata soon! 




 Vehicles plying on the roads contribute a lot to state pollution, which makes it delicate for the common man to breathe indeed in big metropolises. The West Bengal government has taken a step to add 2000 electric motorcars to the transport system to check vehicular pollution. piecemeal from this, the government is also planning to convert 3000 diesel motorcars to CNG, which will be completed in the coming many times. The State Transport Minister Farhad Hakeem informed about this. 

The minister said that presently 80 electric motorcars are plying on the roads in Kolkata. 30 diesel motorcars have been converted to CNG motorcars and the results are relatively encouraging. 

“We are also planning to add 2000 electric motorcars to the being line in the coming 3- 4 times. presently, the product of similar green motorcars is decelerating due tonon-supply of lithium batteries. ” Hakeem said 

 

The main ideal of this State Transport Plan is to reduce the use of fossil energies. Reducing its use will also bring down pollution situations in the megacity and ameliorate air quality. When asked how numerous charging stations there are in the megacity for this, he mentioned 76 similar charging installations. 

Before, Hakeem also reflected on this through a tweet. He said that the civic transport system will soon be completely electric and the old motorcars will be converted to CNG, which is in full swing. We're committed to reducing our carbon footmark and I appeal to all citizens to join the fight for a better future for unborn generations. 

 

Talking about the increase in the use of CNG, he said that CNG is a low- cost energy and is also not dangerous to the terrain. He said that the department is working on conversion of 3000 diesel motorcars to CNG motorcars which will be completed in a phased manner. 

In order to increase the relinquishment rate of electric vehicles, the state government has waived the enrollment figure for electric vehicles in addition to colorful duty immunity. The minister said this during an event organized by EnGIO, a civil society association in collaboration with Prabha Khaitan Foundation, on the occasion of World Environment Day.
