As a precautionary measure, a total of 15 NDRF teams were deployed in the state, 5 team deployments, 10 reserves.

This year, the planting has been 8.06 per cent against the average area under the last three years.


Many districts of Gujarat have received universal rainfall during the last one week. According to the meteorological department, the new low-pressure is not likely to occur for the next one week. The state has received three and a half inches of rainfall so far this season. Which is 10.38 per cent compared to the state average of 840 mm in the last 30 years.

The highest rainfall of 34 mm was recorded in Waghai taluka of Dang district. The state has received three and a half inches of rainfall so far this season. Which is 10.38 per cent compared to the state average of 840 mm in the last thirty years.

An estimated 6.894 lakh hectares of kharif crops have been planted this year

An IMD official said that by June 19, all the districts in Gujarat have received rains. Dahod, Chhota Udepur, Dang, Tapi, Gir Somnath, Porbandar and Junagadh received relatively less rainfall. The chances of rains in the state next week are slim at present. According to an official of the agriculture department, an estimated 6.894 lakh hectares of kharif crops have been planted by June 21, 2021 this year. 1.394 lakh hectares were planted during the same period last year. This year, the planting has been 8.06 per cent against the average area under the last three years.

There are a total of 04 high alert 52 reservoirs in the state

According to an official of the Irrigation Department, the Sardar Sarovar reservoir has a storage of 1 lakh 50 thousand 627 mcft of water. Which is 45.09 per cent of the total storage capacity. Two lakh 6 thousand 910 MCFT of water is stored in 206 reservoirs of the state. Which is 37.14 per cent of the total storage capacity. At present there are a total of 04 high alert 32 reservoirs in the state. While Alert 52 is not a single reservoir and Warning 52 is a reservoir.

Out of the total 15 teams of NDRF, 5 teams were deployed

Out of 15 teams of NDRF, 5 teams have been deployed. Out of which 1-Valsad, 1-Surat, 1-Navsari, 1-Rajkot, 1-Gir have been deployed at Somnath while 8-Team has been kept at Vadodara and 2-Team at Ganghinagar. Most of them are SDRF, CWC, Energy Department, Roads and Buildings Department, Health Department, Irrigation Department, GSDMA, GSRTC. And Sardar Sarovar Nigam Ltd. The officials of the party had joined the online meeting and said that they were fully prepared to deal with all the monsoons.

Meghmaher in 88 talukas in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 88 talukas received normal rainfall, with Dabhoi in Vadodara receiving the highest rainfall at 2.3 inches.

Then Dang, Aravalli, Bhavnagar, Tapi. Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Gir-Somnath and other districts received half to 2 inches of rain. The meteorological department has forecast moderate to heavy rains in most parts of the state, including Ahmedabad, for the next 4-5 days.
