Anyone who is a citizen of India can apply for a ration card.


If you have a ration card, you can also get rations this month under the government's special scheme Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.  In view of the Koro epidemic, the government announced free rations for the poor.  In the same order many states are giving free rations to their citizens.  In Delhi and UP, the government is giving rations even without ration cards.  But there is no need to panic if Tamapi does not have a ration card.  Because now you can apply for ration card online from your smartphone from home.  All the states have created their own websites for it.  You can apply for a ration card by visiting the website of the state in which you live.


 Here's how to apply online

To create a ration card, you must first go to the official website of the state.  If you are a resident of Gujarat, you can download the form by going to https://dcs-dof.gujarat.gov.in/ration-card.htm.  If you are a resident of Uttar Pradesh you can download the form by accessing https://fcs.up.gov.in/FoodPortal.aspx.  While residents of Bihar can apply by clicking on hindiyojana.in/apply-ration-card-bihar/ and residents of Maharashtra by clicking on mahafood.gov.in.


 Then click on the link with Apply online for ration card.


 - Aadhar card, water ID, passport, health card, driving license etc. can be given as ID proof for making ration card.


 Application fees for ration cards range from Rs 05 to Rs 45.  After applying, deposit the fee and submit the application.


 If your application is deemed appropriate after field verification, it will become your ration card.


 Who has applied for a ration card?


 Anyone who is a citizen of India can apply for a ration card.  The names of children below 18 years of age are included in the parent's ration card.  However, a person above 18 years of age can apply for a ration card separately.

 Aadhar card, water ID, passport, any i-card issued by the government, health card driving license etc. can be given as ID proof for making ration card.  In addition, documents like PAN card, passport size photograph, age certificate, light bill as proof of address, gas connection book, telephone bill, bank statement or passbook, rental agreement will be required.
